Commander (retired) John Frederick Dehn Bowen, (7 June, 1897 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve and the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Bowen was serving in the R.N.R. when he appointed to T.B. 3 on 17 July, 1917 and transferred to the Royal Navy in September 1917. On 19 August, 1918 he was appointed to Royal Sovereign.[1]

Bowen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 7 March, 1920.[2]

Bowen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 7 March, 1928.[3]

He was appointed in command of the river gunboat Tern vice Ford on 6 October, 1930.[4]

Bowen was promoted to the rank of Commander on 7 June, 1942.[5]
