Lieutenant R.N.R. Vere Seymour (14 June, 1879 – 7 March, 1916) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Seymour was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 26 July, 1911.[1]
He was appointed to the seaplane carrier Campania from 18 January 1915 to 24 January, 1916, becoming her first and gunnery officer on 21 May 1915. After some time at Devonport, he was appointed in command of the destroyer Coquette on 15 February, 1916.[2]
Seymour died when Coquette was lost to a mine in the North Sea in company with T.B. 11 on 7 March, 1916.[3]
