H.M.S. Bayano was a mercantile ship converted for use as a Commissioned Escort Ship in the Royal Navy.

There was also an earlier Armed Merchant Cruiser named Bayano.

Service

She served from the end of 1917 through the end of the war.

Armament

She was armed with:[1]

  • two 6-in guns
  • two 4-in guns
  • two (?) 11-in A.S.W. Howitzers
