H.M.S. Eridge was one of thirty-two Ascot Class paddle minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

In 1917, Elridge was involved in a collision with the destroyer Vigilant, whose captain, Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. Robert Geoffrey Cross had a habit of colliding with things.

In January, 1921, she was one of thirteen minesweepers lying, paid off at Rosyth.[7]
