Commander (retired) Edward Herbert Donovan, (8 October, 1874 – 5 June, 1920) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Lieutenant General Donovan.[1]
Donovan was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1896.[2]
Donovan was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1904.[3]
He was placed on the Retired List as unfit on 6 May 1912.[4]
Donovan was promoted to the rank of Commander on 8 October, 1914. He worked in barracks and in mine supply during the war until he was placed back on Retired Pay on 2 October 1915, suffering from neuritis in his left leg.[5]
