Commander R.N.R. (retired) Frederick Augustus Frank, D.S.O., R.D. (13 February, 1874 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Frank was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 20 February, 1911.[1]
Frank was appointed in command of H.M.S. Lady Olive on 30 November, 1916. He was specially promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. with seniority of 19 February, 1917 when Lady Olive sank, and was sunk by UC 18. At the end of the year, he was working in the paravane department of H.M.S. Vernon.[2]
Frank was placed on the Retired List with the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 1 August, 1919.[3]
Removed from the Retired List on 29 November, 1954.[4]
