Admiral, retired Fitzgerald Algernon Charles Foley (5 September, 1823 – 26 July, 1903) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Foley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1846.[1]

Foley was promoted to the rank of Commander on 7 September, 1855.[2]

Foley was promoted to the rank of Captain on 6 August, 1860.[3]

He retired on 22 February, 1870.

Foley was advanced to the rank of Rear-Admiral on the Retired List on 31 December, 1876.[4]

Foley was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 23 November, 1881.[5]

Foley was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 24 May, 1887.[6]
