Commander (retired) Charles Holt Fforde, (17 February, 1884 – 5 November, 1944) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Fforde was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1906.
Fforde was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1914.
Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 14 May, 1920, Fforde was advanced to the rank of Commander on 17 February, 1924.
World War II
Fforde saw service, including as King's Harbour Master, Milford Haven from 5 April, 1941.
He died in a military hospital, presumably of illness.
