H.M.S. Nile was one of two Trafalgar class battleships completed in 1890 and 1891.
Service
Nile was commissioned by Captain Gerard H. U. Noel at Portsmouth on 30 June, 1891.[6]
On 9 July, 1912, she was sold at auction for £34,900 to T. W. Ward of Sheffield.[7]
Radio
In 1901, while serving as a Port Guard ship, she had or was slated to receive a "1 to 52" W/T set.[8]
