John Dodd Nares

Vice-Admiral (retired) John Dodd Nares, D.S.O., R.N. (11 December, 1877 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Nares was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1900.[1]

Nares was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1913.[2]

Post-War

Nares was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1919.[3]

Nares was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 4 April, 1931 and was placed on the Retired List the following day.[4]

Nares was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 1 January, 1936.[5]
