H.M.S. Amazon was a Thornycroft-built prototype destroyer built for the Royal Navy in the mid 1920s. She and Yarrow's Ambuscade helped determine the design factors that would inform more significant post-war construction, culminating in the "A" and "B" Class Destroyers of 1929-30.
There was an earlier Amazon launched in 1908.

- Commander Cecil R. E. W. Perryman, 29 October, 1928[2] – 19 April, 1930[3] (may have been loaned out part of the time)
- Commander Philip H. Calderon, c. 1932 (transferred in from Tenedos)
