H.M.S. H 27 was one of forty-four "H" class submarines completed for the Royal Navy in the 1910s.

Service

In mid-1927, she was attached to the Fifth Submarine Flotilla.^[6]

Commissioned at Portsmouth on 1 September 1928 for service with the Fifth Submarine Flotilla.^[7]

Commissioned on 10 August, 1929 for service with the Fifth Submarine Flotilla.^[8] By early 1933, she was with Sixth Submarine Flotilla at Portland under the command of R. R. Helbert.^[9]
