H.M.S. Whitehall was one of fifteen destroyers of the Modified "W" class.
Service
After launch, work on her was suspended, and she only entered service in mid-1924, being assigned to the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[7]
She was re-commissioned at Malta on 3 September, 1924.[8]
Re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 27 April, 1926 for service with the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[9]
Whitehall was re-commissioned on 21 August, 1928 for service with the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[10]
Re-commissioned in reserve at Portsmouth on 16 May, 1931.[11]
She commissioned at Devonport on 23 October, 1931 for service on the China Station with the Eighth Destroyer Flotilla.[12]
Placed in Dockyard Control at Chatham on 20 October, 1936.[13]
