Captain (retired) Charles Norman Ebden Currey, R.N. (18 February, 1890 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Entered the Navy via a Colonial Cadetship.
Currey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1911.
In 1915, Currey was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Bronze Medal for saving life from drowning.
Currey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1919.
Currey was recommended for a second R.H.S. Bronze Medal on 4 April, 1923 for saving an A.B. at Constantinople.
Currey was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1925.
World War II
Currey was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Captain on 18 February, 1940.
