John Harvey Rainier

Admiral John Harvey Rainier, Royal Navy, Retired (29 April, 1847 – 21 November, 1915) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Early Life & Career

Rainier was promoted to the rank of Captain on 1 January, 1887.[1]

Rainier was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 26 June, 1905, vice Meggs Davis.[2] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, 1903, he was placed on the Retired List, at his own request, on 1 August.[3] He was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 5 November, 1908.[4]
