Vice-Admiral (retired) Brian Betham Schofield, C.B., C.B.E. (11 October, 1895 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Thomas D. Schofield, Esq., a wine merchant.

Schofield was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1917.[1]

Schofield was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1925.[2]

Schofield was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1931.[3]

Schofield was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1938.[4]

Commanded King George V from c. late April, 1945 to 21 September, 1946.[5]

Schofield was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 July, 1947.[6]

Schofield was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Vice-Admiral on 1 December, 1950.[7]
