H.M.S. Spiraea was one of twenty-eight Anchusa Class convoy sloops completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
In October 1917 she was assigned to be a convoy sloop in the Mediterranean.[6]
Spiraea served as part of the Ninth Sloop Flotilla from mid-1918 until the formation was disbanded in December, 1918. She and Heliotrope left to become two of six sloops on the Black Sea and Marmora Division.[7]
