Commander (emergency) Arthur Frederick Vans Agnew, K.C.B. (21 September, 1865 – 1942) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Vans Agnew became a Transport Officer, assigned to the staff of the Principal Naval Transport Officer, Southampton from 7 October, 1916.
On 7 November 1917, Vans Agnew was subjected to a Court Martial on a charge of having negligently or by default hazarding the Sixth Light Cruiser Squadron. He was acquitted.
He reverted to the Emergency List when he relinquished his duties in Boston on 16 May, 1919.
Vans Agnew died in 1942, having left no children.
