Admiral Henry Blackett, C.B.E. (28 November, 1867 – 1 December, 1952) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
He was appointed command of the armoured cruiser Duke of Edinburgh in July, 1914,[1] and commanded her at the Battle of Jutland, where he was the sole unit of the First Cruiser Squadron to survive the battle.
He was appointed command of the heavy cruiser Cumberland on 29 May, 1917.[2]

He was promoted to Rear-Admiral 21 February, 1919 as he retired on 22 February, 1919.
In retirement, he was twice again promoted to Vice-Admiral on 1 January, 1925 and to Admiral on 27 February, 1929.
