H.M.S. C 29 was one of 38 submarines of the "C" class.
Service
There is a discrepancy in the year of her loss, 1915 or 1916. The Technical History offers a plausible context for her loss which says 1916, claiming she was being towed while submerged by a trawler to attempt to surprise a U-boat, and she was towed into a mine.[5]

- Lieutenant Donald I. McGillewie, 21 November, 1911.[7]
- Lieutenant William R. Schofield, 4 March, 1913, and in command at the time of her loss.[8][9]
