Captain Douglas Alfred Bingley, O.B.E. ( – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Bingley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1915.

Bingley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1923.

World War II

He was placed on the Emergency List at some point before May 1939.

By December, 1943, he was an Acting Captain, though he still held the rank of Lt. Cdr.. By April, 1944 he was serving in the Royal New Zealand Navy.
