Admiral Edward Francis Bruen, C.B., Royal Navy, Retired (7 November, 1866 – 22 November, 1952) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the First World War.

Early Life & Career

Bruen was a dreadnought captain during the First World War, commanding the Bellerophon at the Battle of Jutland in 1916. After the battle he was appointed to command the new battleship Resolution.

On 1 May, 1920, Bruen was appointed Director of Naval Equipment in succession to Rear-Admiral Edward M. Phillpotts.[1]
