Admiral SIR Michael Maynard Denny, G.C.B., C.B.E., D.S.O. (3 October, 1896 – 7 April, 1972) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Denny was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1917.[1]
Denny was awarded 1920's Commander Egerton Prize for passing the best examination in practical Gunnery when qualifying for Gunnery Lieutenant.[2]
Denny was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1925.[3]
Denny was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1930.[4]
Denny was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1936.[5]
World War II
Denny was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 5 July, 1945.[6]
Denny was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 22 October, 1948.[7]
Denny was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 22 April, 1952.[8]
Retired 28 July, 1959.
