Adrian George Allgood

Captain (retired) Adrian George Allgood, (28 July, 1867 – 26 May, 1920) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of a Major Allgood. Perhaps born in the East or West Indies.

Allgood was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1890.

Allgood was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1903.

After an appointment in command of the convoy sloop Andromeda was considered, Allgood was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Captain on 1 September, 1908.

In 1911 he undertook transport duties at Southampton. This was followed by work with the Admiral Commanding Reserves in the Scotland District, then work on the War Staff and finally a posting at the Port of London, carrying him through the war.

He was reverted to the Retired List 30 June, 1919. He would die eleven months later.
