Rear-Admiral (retired) Albert Denison Somerville Denison, (4 October, 1835 – 2 September, 1903) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

In 1857, Denison was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Silver Medal for lifesaving.[1]

Denison was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 10 November, 1857.

Denison was promoted to the rank of Commander on 24 August, 1866.

Denison was promoted to the rank of Captain on 18 September, 1873.

Denison retired at his own request on 4 October 1881 and was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 29 November, 1889.
