Lieutenant-Commander (retired) Alfred Ernest Walkem, R.N. (16 March, 1877 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Walkem was granted the acting rank of Gunner (T) on 20 May, 1904 and was confirmed in the rank on 27 May, 1905.

Walkem was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 13 September, 1918.

Walkem was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 12 August, 1922.

Walkem was placed on the Retired List on account of age on 16 March, 1927 and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 12 August, 1930.
