Captain (retired) Aubrey William Peebles, M.V.O., D.S.O.*, O.B.E., R.N. (8 January, 1880 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of William Peebles, physician was born in Dublin.

Peebles was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1902.

Peebles was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1910.

Peebles was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1915.

Post-War

Peebles was placed on the Retired List at his own request on ceasing duty on 31 March, 1923 and was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) on 8 January, 1925.

World War II

Reverted to the Retired List on 11 September, 1945.
