Charles Le Strange

Captain Charles Le Strange (27 April, 1847 – 13 June, 1891) was an officer of the Royal Navy. Until March 1874, he was Charles Styleman Le Strange.

Early Life & Career

Le Strange was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 June, 1869.

He was appointed in command of the wooden paddle despatch vessel Lively from 7 January 1880 until he was promoted to the rank of Commander on 22 November 1882.

Le Strange was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1890. He arrived back in England aboard H.M.S. Dreadnought on 13 March 1891 and died in Berkeley Square London three months later, aged forty-six.
