Douglas Henry Everett

Rear-Admiral Douglas Henry Everett, C.B., C.B.E., D.S.O., R.N. (16 June, 1900 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Everett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1921.[1]

Everett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 January, 1929.[2]

Everett was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1932.[3]

World War II

Everett was appointed to the cruiser Ajax as executive officer, vice Sissmore, on 30 September, 1937. He would remain in this appointment through April, 1940, and be specially promoted to the rank of Captain on 13 December, 1939 in recognition of his services in action against the 'Graf Spee.[4]

Everett was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 January, 1949.[5]
