Vice-Admiral Francis Mowbray Prattent, Royal Navy (19 May, 1833 – 31 October, 1892) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Early Life & Career
Prattent was appointed Commodore, Second Class and Naval Officer in Charge at Jamaica on 24 July, 1883.[1]
Prattent was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral dated 24 May, 1887, vice Phillimore.[2] He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 1 August, 1892, vice Grant.[3] In accordance with the provisions of the Orders in Council of 22 February, 1870 and 5 August, 1875, he was placed on the Retired List, at his own request, on 2 September.[4]
