Francis Quiller Champness

Captain Francis Quiller Champness, (18 August, 1887 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of R. H. Champness, M.V.O. was born in Southsea.[1]

Champness was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1909.[2]

Champness was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1917.[3]

Champness was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1920.[4]

Champness was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1928. He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 23 July, 1929.[5]

World War II

He appears to have lived beyond 1964.
