Frank Campbell Younghusband
Commander Frank Campbell Younghusband (7 January, 1851 – 17 May, 1894) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Younghusband entered the Navy in August, 1864.[1]
Younghusband made Acting Sub-Lieutenant on 27 July, 1870 and passed the R.N.C. in October of that year.[2]
Younghusband was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 8 August, 1874.[3]
On 19 April, 1883, he was made a Junior Staff Officer at Excellent. On 26 February, 1884 he was appointed in command of Handy, tender to Excellent, where he continued to work as a Junior Staff Officer.[4]
Younghusband was promoted to the rank of Commander on 1 January, 1885.[5]
On 1 August, 1890, he was made an associate member of the Committee on the Design of the Whitehead Torpedo.[6]
Younghusband was placed on the Retired List on 1 April, 1893 on account of non-service.[7]
