Captain (retired)Henry Leonard Ivers Kirkpatrick, O.B.E. (6 November, 1890 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of H. Ivers Kirkpatrick, Esq., J.P., who worked in medicine.

Kirkpatrick was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1913. He served in Marksman as navigator from October 1915 to July, 1917, fighting at the Battle of Jutland as part of the Twelfth Destroyer Flotilla.[1]

Kirkpatrick was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 July, 1921.[2]

Kirkpatrick was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1926.[3]

Kirkpatrick was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 1 January, 1938.[4]
