William Alexander Herlihy

Lieutenant-Commander (retired) William Alexander Herlihy, D.S.C., R.N. (7 April, 1866 – 25 October, 1941) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Herlihy was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 1 June, 1893.

Herlihy was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 4 April, 1911.

Herlihy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 25 September, 1915.

Post-War

Retired due to age on 7 April, 1921, Herlihy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on the Retired List on 25 September, 1923.
