Lieutenant-Commander William Donovan, R.N., Retired (16 January, 1871 – 20 August, 1942) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Donovan was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 23 November, 1898.
Donovan was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 23 November, 1913.
Donovan was appointed in command of the tender Gleaner on 17 March 1914.
Post-War
Donovan was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 11 April, 1922.
Retired due to age on 12 August, 1922.
Donovan was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 11 April, 1930.
