William Fiddick

Lieutenant-Commander William Fiddick, R.N., Retired (25 September, 1860 – 7 January, 1929) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Fiddick was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 10 February, 1891.

Fiddick was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 14 May, 1910.

Fiddick was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 2 August, 1912.

Fiddick was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 105 on 3 August, 1912.[1] Her propeller got damaged in June 1913, and though a Court of Enquiry found no blame attributable to him, a consensus was found that Fiddick was too old to be commanding torpedo craft.

Fiddick was retired, it seems, in February, 1919.

Fiddick was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 2 August, 1920.
