William Harry Brickes Wallace

Commander (retired) William Harry Brickes Wallace, (18 August, 1900 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of W. V. B. Wallace, Esq., a dental surgeon.[1]

Wallace's first ship was the super-dreadnought Malaya, in which he served from 7 May 1917 until he was appointed to Dolphin for instruction in submarines on 21 August, 1920.[2]

Wallace was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1922.[3]

Wallace was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1930.[4]

World War II

Shore-based appointments in Malta, where he had been stationed since 1936. He was Maintenance Commander from 3 February, 1943.

Wallace was promoted to the rank of Commander on 18 August, 1945.[5]

Reverted to the Retired List on 18 March, 1947.[6]
