Admiral Alfred Ernest Albert Grant, Royal Navy, Retired (10 April, 1861 – 14 August, 1933) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Early Life & Career

Grant was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1884.[1]

On 7 July 1887, he was loaned to the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 46 for manoeuvres.[2]

Grant was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1896.[3]

Grant was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1904.[4]

He was captain of Barfleur from October 1907 to June of the following year.[5]

He commanded Lord Nelson from March 1910 to November 1911.[6]

Great War

He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 26 May, 1915, vice Gillett.[7]

Post War

Grant was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 1 November, 1919, vice Browning, and placed on the Retired List on 2 November.[8] He was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 1 August, 1924.[9]
