Britain launched twelve Insect Class Gunboats in 1915 and 1916 for riverine use.

Design

The vessels were as follows:[1]

  • 645 tons
  • 237.5 feet overall
  • 4 foot draught
  • 36 foot beam
  • 14 knots on 2000 I.H.P.

Armament

  • two 6-in guns
  • two 12-pdr guns
