Admiral SIR Thomas Brandreth, K.C.B., Royal Navy (6 August, 1825 – 10 December, 1894) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
On 1 February, 1879, Brandreth was appointed Admiral Superintendent of Chatham Dockyard.[1]
Brandreth was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 30 October, 1884, vice Phillimore.[2]
On the occasion of Queen Victoria's golden jubilee, he was appointed an Ordinary Member of the Second Class, or Knight Commander, in the Military Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 21 June, 1887.[3]
Brandreth was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 14 July, 1889, vice Hood.[4]
In accordance with the provisions of the Orders in Council of 22 February, 1870, and 5 August, 1875, Brandreth was placed on the Retired List on 6 August, 1890.[5]
