H.M.S. Tiger was one of forty "C" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy — a "30 knotter".
There was also a later ship, a battlecruiser, named Tiger.

Tiger was lost to a collision in 1908.

Wikipedia claims that the captain at the time of her loss was a Lieutenant W. E. Middleton, whom I have not yet identified.[Fact Check]
