Admiral Francis George Eyre, Royal Navy, Retired (4 February, 1864 – January, 1941) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Early Life & Career
Eyre was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1898.[1]
Captain
Eyre was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1903.[2]
He was appointed in command of the Venus on 15 July, 1905.[3]
Eyre was appointed Chief Inspector of Naval Ordnance on 12 January, 1911.[4]
Flag Rank
Eyre was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 1 October, 1918, vice Kerr.[5] He retired on 10 February, 1919,[6] and was advanced to Admiral on the Retired List on 1 June of that year.
