Lieutenant Arthur Edwin Durham, R.N. (26 September, 1888 – 23 March, 1917) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Reverend W. E. Durha was born in Burnley, Lancs.
Durham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1910.[1]
Durham was appointed to Redpole as first officer on 11 September, 1913. He served in her until being appointed to join Morning Star on 10 August, 1915, to assume command upon her commissioning. He would soon leave her, and commanding Wolf and Ouse in succession.
Durham was appointed in command of Laforey on 13 January, 1917 and died when she was sunk on 23 March, 1917.
