Captain Arthur Leslie Gresson, R.N., Retired (17 May, 1879 – 1 June, 1931) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Retired Major William Henry Gresson was born in Kensington.
Gresson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1901.
Gresson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1913.
Gresson was appointed in command of the armoured cruiser Lancaster on 17 August, 1918.[1]
Post-War
On 9 July, 1920, Gresson was appointed in command of the battlecruiser Lion.[2]
Gresson was placed on the Retired List as medically unfit with the rank of Captain on 1 April, 1926.
Gresson died of cancer.
