Commander (retired) Herbert Owen, D.S.C., R.N. (16 September, 1889 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Bury, St. Edmunds, the son of Reverend O. E. Owen.
Owen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1911.
Owen was appointed in command of the destroyer Laertes on 28 October, 1917.[1]
Post-War
Owen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1919.[2]
Owen was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 18 January, 1933.
