H.M.S. Southdown was one of one hundred and fourteen Hunt Class minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Southdown paid off at Southampton on 31 August, 1919.[8]
In January, 1921, she was at Southampton, one of twenty-eight paid off minesweepers there.[9]
Re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 20 June, 1924. By June 1924 she was functioning as a Diving Tender.[10]
