Captain Edward Glyn de Styrap Jukes Hughes (10 May, 1883 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
His last name is sometimes offered as Jukes-Hughes, but Jukes appears to have been considered part of his last name, regardless.
Life & Career
Jukes Hughes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with seniority of 15 April, 1904.
He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander with seniority of 15 April, 1912.
He was appointed as Gunnery Officer of the armoured cruiser Minotaur on 6 January, 1914,[1] and served her in this capacity at the Battle of Jutland.
He was promoted to the rank of Commander with seniority of 30 June, 1916.
He was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 30 May, 1929.
