Captain Edward Dangerfield, (27 July, 1899 – 3 January, 1941) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Dangerfield first served in Hogue when war broke out, and survived her loss. He was appointed to the dreadnought Colossus in October 1914 served in her at the Battle of Jutland. In October, 1917 he was sent to a five-day Torpedo Control course at H.M.S. Vernon and then was appointed to the destroyer Verdun, in which he served the remainder of the war.
Dangerfield was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1919.[1]
Dangerfield was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1927.[2]
Dangerfield was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1932.[3]
Dangerfield was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1938.[4]
