Lieutenant-Commander Guy Howard Bolus, (30 September, 1902 – 1 June, 1939) served in the Royal Navy.

As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.

Life & Career

Bolus was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1925.

Bolus was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 July, 1933.[1]

Appointed to Mackay on 25 July, 1934.[2]

Bolus was appointed to the submarine Thetis on 27 April 1938,[3] perhaps immediately in command, or soon to become captain. He would die when she was lost during diving trials outside of Liverpool.
