Commander Malcolm Kingsford de Monçy Burgess, R.N. (13 August, 1881 – 15 September, 1924) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Burgess was born in Aden, the son of Colonel Henry Mills Burgess of the Royal Artillery.[1]
He escaped serious blame due to his inexperience in a collision between the T.B.Ds. Panther and Thrasher in 1902.[2]
Burgess was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1903.[3]
Burgess was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 September, 1911.[4]
Burgess was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1916.[5]
Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 18 July, 1922.[6]
